📘 XWiki Installation Tutorial

🌐 Introduction

XWiki is an open-source collaborative platform that allows you to create, manage, and share content in wiki format.
With it, teams can organize knowledge, document processes, and collaborate in real time.

🛒 Step 1 - Accessing the Marketplace​

Open the SaveInCloud Marketplace and search for XWiki.

📩 Step 2 - Receiving Credentials​

After starting the installation, you will receive an email containing the access credentials for the environment.

⚙️ Step 3 - Installing XWiki​

Continue with the installation of XWiki through the platform wizard.

📝 Step 4 - Filling in Information​

Provide the necessary data for initial configuration, such as administrator name, password, and access parameters.

Use the provided credentials to log in as the administrator user.

🔍 Step 6 - Searching for a Flavor (Optional)​

A flavor in XWiki is a set of extensions, templates, and predefined configurations that add extra functionalities to the environment.
They work as “ready-made packages” for different scenarios, for example:

  • 📚 Documentation Wiki – ideal for recording processes and internal guides.
  • 👥 Collaborative Wiki – aimed at teams that need to share information in real time.
  • 🛠️ Technical Wiki – with specific extensions for development and support teams.

You can search and select the flavor that best suits your needs, or proceed with just the basic installation.

📦 Step 7 - Installing the Flavor​

Complete the installation of the chosen flavor to add extra features to your environment.

🚀 Step 8 - Accessing XWiki​

After completing the installation, access XWiki using the provided URL and credentials.
The initial dashboard will be displayed, and you can start configuring your workspace.
