🏢 Liferay on the SaveinCloud platform
Liferay is a corporate portal and digital experience platform (DXP – Digital Experience Platform), developed in Java, aimed at companies, governments, and institutions that need a robust environment for collaboration, digital services, and content management.

🛠️ Installation via Marketplace
- Access the SaveinCloud panel and click on Marketplace.
- Search for
Liferay. - Click on the application card and start the installation.

🧾 Installation Configuration
On the installation screen, fill in the following fields:

- Environment: Name of the environment.
- Display Name: Name visible on the platform panel.
- Region: Choose the region (if applicable).
✅ Installation Completion
After the installation is completed, you will see a confirmation pop-up and receive by email the access credentials to the Liferay administrative panel and the database.
- Access URL
- Username
- Access password
Change the default password after the first login to the administrative panel.
⚙️ First Liferay Configuration
When accessing Liferay for the first time, a setup wizard will be displayed divided into three main sections: Portal, Administrator User, and Database.

📌 Section: Portal
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Portal Name | Name of the portal. It will be displayed in the administrative interface and may appear in the site header, depending on the theme. Example: Portal da Empresa X. |
| Default Language | Sets the default interface language. By default, it is English (United States), but can be changed to Português (Brasil) or another supported language. |
| Time Zone | Sets the portal's default time zone. This affects log records, scheduled tasks, and date displays. It is recommended to set it to (UTC−03:00) Brasília Standard Time for environments in Brazil. |
👤 Section: Administrator User
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| First Name | First name of the portal's main administrator user. |
| Last Name | Last name of the administrator user. |
| Email address used for the administrator login. It will also be the default contact for system notifications. |
💡 After filling out the form, the system will create an administrator user with full permissions (
admin).

| JDBC URL | JDBC connection URL for the database. Usually pre-filled automatically. Example: jdbc:mariadb://host:3306/liferay?serverTimezone=UTC |
| JDBC Driver Class Name | JDBC driver class used. Example: org.mariadb.jdbc.Driver. |
| User Name | Username with read and write access to the database. |
| Password | Password corresponding to the above user. |
| (Change) | Link to change the database type or credentials, if necessary. |
✅ Finish Configuration
After filling in all fields, click Finish Configuration. You will be asked to accept the terms of use. Then:
- The system will automatically redirect to the portal login screen.
🔐 First Login:
Use the email provided on the configuration screen and the default passwordtest.
The system will prompt you to create a new secure password immediately after login.
